Dr. Jason McCain grew up right here in Georgetown, Texas. After high school, he served four years in the U.S. Navy as a medic and optician, an experience that helped spark his interest in becoming an optometrist.

Dr. Donna McCain grew up along the northeastern coast of South Carolina and graduated with honors from Loris High School. She went on to earn two bachelor's degrees from Coastal Carolina University before moving to Texas to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Dr. H grew up in Dallas and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston before attending the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry. As the first person in his family to graduate from college and go on to earn a professional degree, becoming an optometrist is an accomplishment he is especially proud of.

Dr. Nguyen earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry. During her clinical training, she gained experience in primary eye care, contact lenses, and ocular disease through rotations at a private practice in Houston and a VA clinic in Amarillo, Texas.

After high school, he served four years in the U.S. Navy as a medic and optician, an experience that helped spark his interest in becoming an optometrist. After leaving the Navy, he returned home and worked in the optical at San Gabriel Eye Center while earning his bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Dr McCain was both professional and personable. She took her time to give me helpful answers and advice to a range of questions. I also found Linda Klein in the glass department to be super helpful as well as attentive to my budget. In the past I have steered away from buying my glasses in the optometrist office. But with progressive lens I've realized I need more professional attention than I've been getting at some of the big stores. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost. I absolutely recommend San Gabriel Eye Center.

Dr. McCain is awesome. He'll work with you until you are satisfied. The staff are sweet. After my contact follow up I wanted to check out the glasses to order and it was so busy. One of the staff came up to me and let me know when it's a good time to come. She even have the glasses I picked out on hold for me. Super sweet staff. They make you feel comfortable. I definitely recommend this place.

This will definitely be our new go to!! Clean environment, friendly staff, great selection of eye wear and Dr. Jason is phenomenal! It was my son's first real eye exam and he's been having some trouble with seeing things at a distance. Dr. Jason made him feel comfortable, he explained everything in detail as he went, and he was extremely welcoming and friendly. I can't wait to see my kiddos new glasses on him and know that he is comfortable and can see clearly! Thank y'all for a lovely experience! We will definitely be back soon so this Momma can get a new set of glasses herself!

This was my first visit to this office as my previous doctor retired in 2020. Extremely professional, polite and efficient. My partner and I went together for annual exams. He has diabetes so must monitor eye health carefully. I have early cataracts that must be monitored. The optometrist was also very helpful in adjusting existing frames and suggesting new frames.

The ladies at the front desk and the optical techs are friendly, knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Dr. McCain is professional, friendly and knowledgeable also. He makes sure to ask if you have questions and explains what he's doing so that you understand. Highly recommended.
